The red cord has a strengthening fibre core running through the middle which, although not mandatory, is recommended by the RYA.

This is a generic Kill Cord designed to fit most OMC engines. It is manufactured by a third party and is not a genuine OMC spare. As such, it is not guaranteed to fit every OMC engine.
